DSCF0987.JPG1 viewsThe is a small patch of snow above the lake in the center of the frame. In prior years at this time of the year a much larger snowbank existed right at the lakeshore below the small patch. There is less water in the streams this summer. There appears to be more algae in the shallow water along the shoreline in Cove Lake each year.Sep 09, 2024

DSCF0975.JPG1 viewsLast alpenglow; the saddle between D. O. Lee Peak and WCP-9; 15 mm. Just a minute ago the alpenglow was more intense, but cloud cover in the east has greatly reduced the affect. One more chance at this tomorrow morning! Much like last night, a veil of clouds has softened the light.Sep 09, 2024
