IMG_4741.JPG5 viewsIn keeping with our late start, we stop late, deciding to camp on the saddle separating the Lyell Canyon and Merced River drainages, at 10585'. We took advantage of shade in the cooler part of the day to do our climbing. There are few mosquitoes in this drier exposed plateau, and there is water close by. The Professor is exhausted, so I run back to down the trail to get water from melting snow banks to prepare dinner.Oct 07, 2013
