IMG_4295.JPG6 viewsEvery time the canyon widens out, we expect to arrive at the Middle Trail Exit, only to have the walls close in again. It is hard to judge our progress down the slot. We estimate our progress by elapsed time and speed; difficult to judge with all the stopping for photography.

IMG_4301.JPG8 viewsFinally, we arrive at Middle Trail Exit, almost 7 miles since we started at Wire Pass. With the canyon wall about 100' high, it is a 3rd class scramble out of the slot to the north rim.
