Idaho Exposure

East, from the summit of Half Dome, snow-covered Banner Peak is the first significant summit from the left with the prominent snowfield high on its north face. Two days earlier, we passed through much of the northeast trending drainage in the foreground which rises to Tuolumne Pass, before dropping into Lyell Canyon where we began our loop.
