The professor makes an entry in the summit register on the west summit of Thompson Peak. We arrived here after first climbing the pinnacle just to the west, which was slightly lower, more exposed, and quite a bit more cramped on top. Both have couloirs leading to a notch, with a short scramble on solid rock to reach the top.
