The presence of water ahead indicates we are arriving at the confluence of the Paria River. This came a bit earlier than expected, and we are now back on schedule, hoping to arrive at White House Campground before losing the light. It is now 6:37 pm, less than 2 hours of daylight with 7.5 miles to go. I think I am being too optimistic!
